I’ve written something before about essential gifts for the men in your life — and, with father’s day looming, I simply can’t help but window-shop online for the perfect gift.

I mean, I’m daddy’s little angel — (I secretly love it when he calls me that) and what better way to show my love for the coolest guy around than by something I also love, which is shopping? In the same article linked above, I mentioned:

The thing about men is … no matter how mature/older they are, deep down, they’ll always be little boys. No matter how elaborate, or how simple a gift you give, you will please ‘em.

Which rings truer when it’s about my dad, or your dad, perhaps? — He’s the cool, quirky dad. He’s Sandy Cohen when he interacts with me and my friends, sometimes I’m like Meadow from The Sopranos when he’s being strict about protecting my interests, and most of the time he’s like Homer Simpson when we goof around. So, without filling this page about being a dorky little daddy’s girl, here’s a list of cool stuff I’m looking to get him for Father’s Day.

Torpedo Shaker – If he hasn’t got one already, this is a nice addition for the bar area he took months to build. This adds certain flair of danger when shaking drinks … just like he likes. Especially when he comes home from some big-wig office thing, and he’s all dressed up in a tux, all spy-like.

Iron Man Movie Fine Art Statue – I don’t know about you, but my dad loved that movie — and the next best thing to actually building him an Iron Man suit would be this movie statue, complete with light-up features, and, well, an over-all coolness about it.

Star Trek Original Series Phaser – Never really got into Star Trek, but he goes crazy when the tv plays re-runs of the original series. Now you could give him the great gift of letting him re-live his childhood, and be Captain Kirk from his beloved series.

Dress Shoes From Aldo – He’ll flip over this nice pair of dress shoes designed to look better than the next guy’s pair. For shoes, durability is a very important thing, and that’s where Aldo delivers in flying colors — a return policy, plus, ordering online has a guarantee of Free Shipping on all orders. How awesome is that?

A Trip to Hawaii – Why let daddy hog all the fun? I love love love my mom to bits too! A little trip to Hawaii is something only a hard-working daughter can give. I think I read from a TIME magazine happiness article that, the best way to be happy is giving others happiness. I mean, how better would I be, if I gave happiness to my folks? A couple of years ago, I would’ve laughed at the very notion of giving away a planned trip, but with the price rates on online offers dropping these days, it’s pretty much possible.
